The second version of the Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpeners, the Ken Onion Edition, was developed in close collaboration with American custom knife maker Ken Onion. This is by no means a successor to the already well-known device, but rather a device that offers the user more options than the "Original." While the basic handling is identical to the standard Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener, the wide range of options in the Ken Onion Edition also requires a bit more expertise on the topic of "knife sharpening." For the user seeking the simplest handling with professional results, the basic model remains an excellent recommendation. The Ken Onion Edition features the following additional properties compared to the basic model:

Variable belt speed, selectable from 1200 SFM to 2800 SFM
Continuously adjustable sharpening angle from 15° - 30°
Wider grinding belts (3/4" x 12") in a larger selection of grits
New optional blade guide up to the tip of the blade
Selection of additional tool attachments for further applications
