The extremely light-sensitive MINOX HG 8x56 is the optimal companion for observation or hunting in moonlight and twilight. A key quality feature of binoculars is the quality of their light transmission. The engineers at MINOX developed the innovative M*-coating, a coating of the glass surfaces with up to 21 layers tailored to the various wavelengths of visible light. This results in an impressive increase in light transmission to 92 percent, significantly improving brightness, contrast, detail, and color reproduction. The precisely calculated optical system with a powerful objective diameter of 56mm contributes to brilliant, razor-sharp images. For reliable and long-lasting corrosion and fog protection, the interior of the binoculars is filled with the noble gas argon.

Another milestone is the mirror coating of the roof prisms with MinoBright technology. This silver-based coating ensures a reflection efficiency increased to 99.8 percent at the mirror surface, further contributing to the improvement of light transmission in the HG binocular system. Another enhancement to light transmission in all MINOX HG binoculars is the use of high-tech special glass with outstanding optical properties.

With the Quick-Close-Focus (QCF) developed and patented by MINOX, handling has been optimized in an advanced way. Just a single turn is enough to focus the HG binoculars from close to infinity. This one turn allows for very quick focusing in the close range and precise focusing at greater distances. With the help of the distance scale mounted on the central focusing wheel, the viewer can precisely determine the distance to the targeted object – thus, the HG 8x56 can also be used for distance measurement.

Stylishly designed, ergonomic, and equipped with all known design features, the HG 8x56 harmoniously integrates into the MINOX high-grade series. The rotatable eyecups common to all MINOX binoculars for eyeglass wearers can be adjusted in four click-stop positions.
