The base rail BASIS VARIO is the lower part of the two-part mounting system, which is mounted directly on the weapon. The base rail BASIS VARIO is available for many common weapon models and can be mounted with just a few hand movements. The base rail BASIS is made of high-strength steel.

How does the DENTLER mounting system work?
All target optics from Professor Optiken are optionally available with the DENTLER mounting system. The two-part system consists of a base rail BASIS or the base rail BASIS VARIO for the weapon and a mounting rail BASIS for the respective optic. The two-part system securely connects the target optic and the weapon with 100% reproducibility. Once set, the mounting rail always locks onto the base rail with the same torque and without play. Another advantage of the mounting system is that multiple target optics can be easily and securely used on the weapon. With the base rail BASIS VARIO, different target optics can also be mounted on different weapons.
