Miscellaneous: Right of withdrawal
The buyer may, as long as he is a consumer (§ 13 BGB), revoke his declaration of contract within 14 days without giving reasons in text form (e.g. letter, fax, email) or – if the item is handed over to him before the deadline – also by returning the item. The period begins after receipt of this instruction in text form, but not before the arrival of the goods at the recipient (in the case of recurring delivery of similar goods, not before the arrival of the first partial delivery) and also not before the fulfillment of the seller's information obligations according to Article 246 § 2 EGBGB in conjunction with § 1 Abs. 1 and 2 EGBGB as well as his obligations according to § 312g Abs. 1 Satz 1 BGB in conjunction with Article 246 § 3 EGBGB. To maintain the withdrawal period, it is sufficient to send the withdrawal or the item in time.

Consequences of withdrawal
In the event of an effective withdrawal, the services received by both parties must be returned and surrendered. If the buyer cannot return the received service as well as benefits (e.g. usage advantages) in full or in part or only in a deteriorated condition, he must provide the seller with compensation to that extent. For the deterioration of the item and for benefits derived, the buyer must only provide compensation to the extent that the benefits or deterioration are attributable to handling of the item that goes beyond testing the properties and functionality. "Testing the properties and functionality" means testing and trying out the respective goods as is possible and customary in a retail store. Items that can be shipped in a package must be returned at the seller's expense and risk. Items that cannot be shipped in a package will be picked up from the buyer. Obligations to refund payments must be fulfilled within 30 days. The period begins for the buyer with the sending of his withdrawal declaration or the item, for the seller with their receipt.
