It supports the separation of the two cores of different hardness and is partly responsible for the dual action system of the projectile: The front part disintegrates very quickly upon impact with the game body, releasing strong energy – for maximum effectiveness. The cylindrical rear part separates at the H-groove, penetrating strong game bodies without significant deformation and thus reliably delivering the desired exit wound. The suction effect of the rear part ensures that the fragments of the front core mostly leave the game body.
