Repeater rifle La Coruna Mod.98/43, caliber 8x57IS, FABRICA DE ARMS production from 1949, matching numbers. The 98 system is probably one of, if not the most popular and most imitated weapon systems of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Introduced in 1898 as the standard armament of the Imperial German Army, the Gewehr 98 provided valuable services and formed the backbone of German armament. During the war, the characteristics that made the rifle so popular became evident: robustness, reliability, and precision.

These advantages made the 98 system the unrivaled favorite when it came to the rearmament of Germany. Without hesitation, the carbine version of the 98 system was introduced as standard armament. Once again, the 98 system formed the backbone of German armament.

The present rifle is stamped with 1949 (post-war production) and has matching numbers; unfortunately, the weapon does not have a valid proof mark. It operates with the well-known and reliable 98 system and thus represents a more affordable and worthwhile alternative to German 98 systems. The condition of the weapon is very good considering its age; unfortunately, the upper stock is cracked.
