The Gen4 pistol models offer several innovations that make them even more user-friendly.

The grip allows the shooter to change the circumference and adapt it to the respective hand size. The exchange of grip panels is very quick and easy to perform. The grip angle remains unchanged, which eliminates any deviation from the familiar point of impact. The new MBS grip offers the shortest trigger distance among Glock pistols.

The magazine holder of the Gen4 is interchangeable and the contact surface has been enlarged. It can also be mounted on the right side of the pistol. The grip and interchangeable grip panels of the Gen4 feature a textured surface (RTF surface), which improves grip when shooting. The Gen4 models are equipped with a tandem recoil spring, which reduces recoil and increases the lifespan of the spring.

To meet the requirements of authorities and special units, the Glock 17 has been shortened by a few millimeters and reduced in weight by about 50g. These measures make it more comfortable to carry.
