Used DJ-8 NSV with Image Intensifier Tubes Onyx
The DJ-8 NSV (KF0 = without impurities) is the first fully operational, civilian German night vision attachment that can utilize magnifications of daytime optics up to over ten times without restrictions.
Not only setting new standards in terms of light output and image quality, the newly developed focusing mechanism (patent pending!) allows for a 10 – 15 cm shorter adjustment path for image sharpness compared to other devices.
The first mass-produced magnesium lens of this class (world novelty!) ensures low weight and a balanced design.
The “DJ-8 NSV” can be combined with daytime optics, such as binoculars, telescopes, and spotting scopes.
As an attachment, it only has a 1x magnification.
In poor lighting conditions, an additional IR lamp can significantly improve image quality.
However, the large objective diameter, which is significantly above that of comparable devices, allows for a high degree of independence from IR support. This is a crucial advantage, especially in situations where light haze or fog can lead to reflections or where it is desirable for other reasons not to use IR light visible to other night vision devices.

With the included optics unit 3.0, the device can be used as a monocular.
