PRODUCT INFORMATION "PULSAR ACCOLADE XP50"
With the Accolade, Pulsar raises the bar for market leaders in thermal imaging devices once again. The Accolade is based on the proven Helion devices and is initially available in two versions. The XQ38 Accolade with a 384x288 pixel sensor/38mm lens and the XP50 Accolade with a 640x480 pixel sensor/50mm lens. Compared to a monocular thermal imaging device, observing through a thermal binocular is significantly more comfortable, as the strain is evenly distributed on both sides.
MAIN FEATURES OF THE PULSAR ACCOLADE SERIES
The Accolade XQ38 has an optical zoom of 3.1x and a digital zoom of up to 12.4x. The Accolade XP50 features an optical zoom of 2.5x and a digital zoom of up to 20x. Both devices have digital zoom intermediate steps with 4x and 8x magnification. The frame rate is 50 frames per second. The minimum focusing distance is 3m, and everything is displayed on a frost-resistant OLED 640x480 display, which offers the same colors even at temperatures of -25°C as at normal temperatures. With these features, the Pulsar Accolade is one of the best thermal observation devices for hunting during the day and night - but also excellent for many other applications and fields of work. Both the Accolade XQ38 and the Accolade XP50 have a variable interpupillary distance. The individual adjustability of the interpupillary distance significantly increases observation comfort. Double images are therefore not an issue.
COLOR TONE PALETTES
As with the Helion models, it is also possible with the Accolade models to display the image representation in eight different color tone palettes. You have the option to switch between two color tones at any time with the press of a button, without entering the menu. In addition to the monochromatic color tones "Hot-white" / "Hot-black," different color modes are displayed with markings of the hottest and coldest spots in various colors.
DISTANCE MEASUREMENT
With the Accolade LRF models, which will be released at the end of 2018, you have the ability to measure the distance to the target accurately using a laser rangefinder. In the models without LRF, the stadimetric rangefinder is still built-in. This displays a distance measurement scale on the monitor, allowing you to estimate the distance to an observation object of known size (1.7 m - deer, 0.7 m - wild boar, 0.3 m - hare).
DISPLAY OFF FUNCTION
The user can turn off the display independently of the entire system if observation needs to be temporarily stopped. This function prevents the observer from being illuminated by residual light that exits the eyepiece due to the screen. The display remains off, but all other systems continue to function.
USER INTERFACE
Information about the current operating status is displayed on a separate status bar at the bottom edge of the display with blue letters, numbers, and pictograms. The information does not overlap the image. The device settings, including magnification changes, image inversion, (brightness and contrast settings) are displayed with pictograms at the top right of the screen.
ABSOLUTELY WATERPROOF
All Pulsar Helion devices comply with the IPX7 standard (IEC 60529). This means that the devices are splash-proof and can be temporarily submerged in water.
INTEGRATED VIDEO RECORDING FUNCTION
Every Pulsar Helion thermal imaging device is equipped with an internal video recording function that can record both photos and videos. The recordings are stored internally on a data carrier. The videos can be read out via data transfer to a PC, for which the supplied USB cable is needed. Alternatively, you can transfer them wirelessly using the Stream Vision app to your smartphone or tablet. The necessary wireless connection is established via a built-in Wi-Fi module.
REPLACEABLE BATTERY SYSTEM
The thermal imaging device is delivered with a 5 Ah battery, and there is also the option to use the IPS10 battery, which is twice as strong. The batteries are not permanently connected to the device and can be exchanged as needed. The charging process is possible via USB cable at a USB port or with a power plug at any socket. Optionally with the battery inserted in the device or using the supplied charging dock.
USER INTERFACE
Helion devices feature a user-friendly interface. All essential information is displayed in a separate status line at the edge of the display.
EXTREME OPERATING TEMPERATURE RANGE
Even at -25 degrees, effective operation is guaranteed. The AMOLED display is frost-resistant and shows the same colors even at these low temperatures. Of course, this is also the case at positive temperatures.
