DJ-8 NSV – The attachment device for daytime optics
The new "DJ-8 NSV" is the first fully operational, civilian German night vision attachment that can utilize magnifications of daytime optics unrestrictedly up to over ten times.
Not only setting new standards in terms of light performance and image quality, the newly developed focusing mechanism (patent pending!) allows for a 10 – 15 cm shorter adjustment path for image sharpness compared to other devices.
The first mass-produced magnesium lens of this class (world novelty!) ensures low weight and a balanced design.
The “DJ-8 NSV” can be combined with daytime optics, such as binoculars, telescopes, and spotting scopes.
As an attachment device, it only has a 1x magnification.
In poor lighting conditions, an additional IR lamp can significantly improve image quality.
However, the large objective diameter, which is significantly above that of comparable devices, allows for a high degree of independence from IR support. This is a crucial advantage, especially in situations where light haze or fog can lead to reflections or where it is desired for other night vision devices not to use visible IR light.
