Similar to the Holland & Holland "Sporting," Famars "Excalibur," or Perazzi, the locks can be removed with the trigger group facing down. In the case of Antonio Zoli, this is done by loosening a hex screw with a key included in the delivery. The Kronos model is equipped with an extremely robust locking mechanism. This consists of a split locking wedge that precisely engages in a recess of the monoblock. The result is the optimal interaction between hinge pin, barrel hook recess, and locking wedge, which in turn results in a perfect locking mechanism. The deep seating of the barrel assembly in the receiver and its fixation via the barrel hook recess guarantees a consistently good lock and low locking stress during firing.
