#3714 Berthier carbine Mle 1892 MD, 1917, cal. 8 mm Lebel

#3714 Berthier Mle 1892 MD carbine, 8 mm Lebel, manufactured in 1917 at the MAC Chatellrault factory. Matching numbers. This rifle was refurbished after the war and converted to carbine standard, but still retains the 3-round magazine. The letter N is stamped on the receiver and barrel, meaning the firearm has been adapted for the new Modèle 1932 N cartridge. The cleaning rod channel has been plugged.

The barrel bore is in good condition—the rifling is in very good condition and sharp. There is slight darkening in the grooves, but it can still be fired; it is in at least good condition.
