Sig Sauer P229 Legion Compact SA/DA RXP pistol cal. 9x19

The compact Sig Sauer P229 Legion pistol is a smaller version of the highly successful design—and true legend—of Sig Sauer: the Sig Sauer P226. Now available in the prestigious Legion version. Like all Sig Sauer pistols in the Legion series, it comes standard with exceptional features, such as an excellent short-reset trigger and outstanding steel sights with tritium capsules, making it easier to aim in the dark and in low light.

The Sig Sauer P229 Legion Compact is coated with Cerakote in Legion Gray, a color reserved exclusively for the Legion series. The black G10 laminate grip panels with the Legion series logo are also typical of this series. Their shape is based on the Sig Sauer Elite grip panels, with a deeper undercut beneath the beavertail. Compared to the standard version, the undercut beneath the trigger guard is also deeper, and the trigger guard has additional grooves for improved grip for shooters who prefer the so-called Power Grip.

The excellent short-reset trigger gives you better control over each shot. This model has the external hammer mechanism so highly valued by shooters. The trigger operates in DA/SA: double action, with the hammer cocking as you pull the trigger, requiring more pressure; then, once the hammer is cocked, it operates in SA (single action), requiring less pressure and allowing you to fire with great precision.

As standard on its DA/SA hammer-fired pistols, Sig Sauer includes a decocker on the left side of the pistol, in front of the slide release lever. It safely lowers the cocked hammer and switches the pistol from SA to DA, making it safer to use with a cartridge in the chamber, especially when carrying it. Another distinctive feature of the Legion series is the front slide serrations, which make it easier to rack the slide and check the firearm.

The Sig Sauer P229 Legion Compact has a slide cutout for mounting a red dot sight, and the RXP version comes with a Sig Sauer Romeo1 Pro red dot sight. This version has taller sights that allow for co-witnessing with the red dot sight. The R2 version lets you mount the same red dot sight (sold separately) or a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro. Like every Legion series pistol, the P229 Legion comes in a presentation case with three steel magazines.
