The Beretta Ultraleggero Silver Aluminium, with its engraved side plates made of hand-polished aluminum, is the showpiece of the range.
Despite their steel receiver, Ultraleggero shotguns remain lightweight. Beretta has managed to significantly reduce the weight of the steel receiver through skeletonization, without compromising the stability required for the shotgun to function. The lightweight yet robust Ultraleggero Silver Aluminium over-and-under shotgun stands out in the range with receiver side plates made of hand-polished, nickel-plated aluminum, engraved with hunting scenes.
The stock
By enlarging the stock cavity, the stock weight of the Ultraleggero Silver Aluminium has been reduced by approximately 130 grams. The pistol-grip stock and fore-end are made of fine Grade 2.5 walnut, with a weather-resistant, easy-care oil finish. The recoil-absorbing Extralight recoil pad is 30% lighter than a standard recoil pad and, thanks to its structure, more resistant to abrasion, aging, and weather. The shape of the top lever allows for comfortable handling and easy disassembly of the shotgun. The fore-end is held securely and without play by the locking system.
The skeletonized steel receiver
The receiver features a crossbolt lockup, trapezoidal shoulders, and a double, self-adjusting locking bolt. With a focus on stability and durability while minimizing weight, the receiver’s sides and underside have been skeletonized without weakening its structure.
The chamber
The Beretta Ultraleggero Silver Aluminium has a 76 mm / 3" Universal Magnum chamber, suitable for all shotgun shells with case lengths of 65–76 mm and for use with Magnum shells loaded with lead shot, steel shot, and steel HP shot.
Hunting engravings
On the Ultraleggero Silver Aluminium, the steel receiver has a laser-engraved Nistan finish, enhanced by hand-finished aluminum side plates featuring elegant scenes of small game hunting. The underside is decorated with arabesques and the Beretta logo.
The barrels
The Beretta Ultraleggero Silver Aluminium is equipped with Steelium Optima Bore HP barrels. The tubes are made from triple-alloy chrome-nickel-molybdenum steel using a complex process (deep drilling, honing, cold hammer forging, and vacuum stress-relief annealing), then joined to the guilloché rib to form a precisely shooting barrel set. The special barrel geometry, with a double 80 mm forcing cone, ensures excellent patterns while reducing recoil and muzzle rise. In this version, the barrels are 66 cm or 71 cm long.
