Ruger 77 Green Mountain .17Hornet barrel length 47 cm / 1/2-28 UNEF / without sights, weight without sights, with ½“ 28 UNEF thread, .17Hornet, 47 cm

The Ruger 77 Green Mountain in .17Hornet is a robust and reliable bolt-action rifle at an extremely affordable price.

The 77 series from US manufacturer Ruger has a long track record of success, thanks in no small part to its excellent value for money. This is achieved through an efficient manufacturing process that does not compromise the hunting rifle’s precision.

The stock

This Green Mountain version of the Ruger 77 gets its name from its one-piece, green-gray-brown laminated stock, made from weather-resistant laminate. The grip areas feature checkering for a secure hold, even in wet conditions. A rubber buttpad helps absorb recoil.

The action

The action is made of steel with a matte finish. The rifle has a three-position safety; in the middle position, the bolt can be opened while the rifle remains on safe. The robust stainless steel bolt has a 90° bolt throw and a short lock time. It has a direct trigger. This version is chambered in .17Hoirnet. The cutouts in the receiver allow a scope to be mounted using Ruger’s integral mounting system.

The barrel

The barrel is made of cold-hammer-forged steel and is 47 cm long. It has a ½“-28 UNEF thread with a thread protector. It has no sights. Its surface also has a matte gray finish.
