Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon 1 Jagd 12/76 Vittoria / Left-handed barrel length 71 cm OCHP, 12/76, 71 cm

The Silver Pigeon 1 Jagd Vittoria OHCP over-and-under shotgun from Beretta’s 686 series is designed especially for female hunters and slim-built hunters.

The Monte Carlo stock, with a high comb and less drop, is ideally suited to the anatomy of female shooters. The distance between the eye and cheekbone is generally shorter for women than for men. The high comb allows female shooters to look along the rib comfortably without having to stretch their neck. The lower pitch angle compared with standard stocks also ensures an optimal fit against the shoulder. The pistol grip is specially shaped for smaller hands and sits closer to the trigger.

Action and bolt

This elegant shotgun is characterized by its low, slim action and outstanding mechanical reliability. The floral laser engravings and raised Beretta logo on the action also place this hunting shotgun in the top class visually. Another elegant detail is the gold-colored single trigger. A selector on the safety slide lets you choose which barrel fires first with a sideways movement. Also worth noting are the sturdy crossbolt lock and the extremely robust ejector system, which has performed reliably in the 680 series for over 30 years.

Barrel, choke and sights

The newly developed 686 Silver Pigeon 1 Jagd is equipped with Steelium Optima-Bore HP barrels. The cold-hammer-forged barrels, made from Beretta’s triple-alloy steel, feature highly precise deep drilling and vacuum finishing. The special Optima-Bore HP barrel geometry, with an 80 mm forcing cone, is designed to provide an optimal pressure curve with both steel and lead shot. Shot patterns are very even and dense. The five included OCHP chokes allow fine-tuning for all hunting distances and for a wide range of shot loads used for hunting and sport shooting. All hunting models feature a ventilated 6 mm rib with a nickel-silver bead, allowing precise target acquisition while keeping the game’s body largely unobstructed.

Stock

The Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 Jagd has a stock made of oiled walnut. The Schnabel forend and pistol grip feature fine checkering, providing a secure grip even when wet. Microcore® recoil pads let you adjust the stock length to suit you. The length of the buttstock is 35.5 mm, including the supplied 15 mm recoil pad. Recoil pads measuring 10 mm, 20 mm and 25 mm are available as options. This lets you adjust the stock length from 35 to 36.5 mm. The pads reduce recoil and make shooting more comfortable.
