Combination guns for versatile use. With the Blaser over-and-under combination gun, hunters have every option open to them.
Whether it’s a shot with shot, a precise shot with a shotgun slug through a scope, or the completely heat-independent precision of the rifle barrel. Thanks to its reliable single-lock mechanism, the Blaser BBF 95 over-and-under combination gun offers maximum safety. The system is extremely easy to operate, as only one spring needs to be cocked. The firearm also automatically decocks after every shot, making it as safe as possible.
Trigger and action
The Blaser BBF 97 over-and-under combination gun features a double-trigger system with two locks. The firearm is carried uncocked and cocked only immediately before firing. Thanks to the double-trigger system with two locks, the firearm remains cocked on the second barrel after the first shot. This makes it possible to fire a second shot very quickly without recocking, if needed. The System 97 is therefore especially useful for hunters who often want to take advantage of the opportunity for quick doubles. The front trigger operates the lower barrel, while the rear trigger operates the upper barrel. The direct triggers break with incredible crispness, making a set trigger unnecessary.
Barrel and receiver
Thanks to the free-floating barrels, point of impact remains consistently precise on follow-up shots, regardless of which barrel was fired first. Each barrel can vibrate and expand freely, and its point of impact is unaffected by the other barrel. Thanks to the well-engineered technology Blaser has relied on for decades, adjustment by a specialist is straightforward. Switching to a different caliber or model is simple and cost-effective. Within the B 97 line, the barrel assembly can also be used to change the firearm type: the over-and-under combination gun becomes a Bergstutzen, the over-and-under rifle becomes an over-and-under combination gun or Bergstutzen, and vice versa. The barrel assembly also comes with standard open sights. The steel-gray anodized receiver features finely crafted game engravings on the sides and subtle arabesque engravings on the top. The beautifully rendered roe deer scene on the left side and the elegant depiction of wild boar in their natural habitat are truly unique. The receiver’s shape harmonizes with the lines of the entire over-and-under combination gun, creating an elegant blend of classic and modern design.
Stock
The BBF 97 features an attractive Grade 4 wood stock. The buttstock has a Bavarian cheekpiece, and the comb has a comfortable, ergonomic profile. The pronounced pistol grip provides a secure hold and ends in a flat black cap. The pistol grip and forend feature finely cut checkering, ensuring an optimal, firm grip in all weather conditions. The stock also has sling swivel fittings. The over-and-under combination gun’s low weight of 2.5 kg completes the technical and functional advantages of this firearm.
