Erma MP40 code AYF 43 (inoperable)

Erma MP40 code AYF 43 (deactivated)

Nice World War II MP40 made by Erma in 1943. Serial number 634

The MP40 is also known as the Schmeisser submachine gun

ERMA was the main developer of the MP38 and MP40. To keep the identities of the arms factories secret from the Allies, the German army used secret factory codes. At the start of the war (until the end of 1940), ERMA used the numerical code 27, after which it switched to the three-letter code ayf

Neatly deactivated by the French proof house. No visible signs of deactivation on the outside.

Unfortunately, the bolt is not movable. All numbers match and it is richly marked with German military markings from World War II
