HOWA 1500 Varmint

Barreled Action, or barreled action, by Howa, model 1500 Varmint. The Howa M1500 Varmint Barreled Action has earned a worldwide reputation for manufacturing strong, solid and reliable actions for over 50 years. Every Howa Barreled Action is made in Japan to the highest possible quality standards, with a cold-hammer-forged barrel. Using the latest rifle manufacturing technology and precision machinery, every Howa undergoes the most detailed quality control testing throughout production. This attention to detail at every stage of manufacturing ensures that every Howa shoots accurately and reliably under any circumstances. Ideal for competition shooters, such as PRS (and other competitions that require a varmint-profile barrel like this one), and hunters looking for accuracy. One of the main and most notable features of this Howa Barreled Action is its barrel contour: a 0.825" Varmint profile. This increases the rifle’s accuracy and stability.

Every Howa Barreled Action Varmint comes with a Floorplate cartridge feeder. The rifle is loaded by inserting cartridges through the top of the action when the bolt is open. Depending on the caliber, the Floorplate system holds 5+1 cartridges. A reliable and ideal system. The bolt is one piece, with 2 locking lugs, and features the new fully adjustable two-stage H.A.C.T trigger system and a 3-position safety.

The Howa 1500 Varmint Barreled Action features a forged steel receiver and bolt. The bolt has a one-piece design with an integral bolt, two locking lugs, and an ultra-reliable M16-style ejector and extractor. The action can be quickly disassembled without tools for easy cleaning. This means we can have our rifle ready at any time, ready to go hunting with it. All Howa 1500 Varmint rifles have a 3-position safety that lets you lock the bolt and also unload cartridges while the safety is on. This is a key feature for situations encountered while hunting, such as climbing trees or moving through brush. A very useful and safe feature. Howa’s Japanese manufacturers have clearly thought of everything hunters need. Many shooters know that a rifle’s trigger is one of the key factors in achieving accuracy and safety. Howa HACT two-stage triggers are smooth, crisp and creep-free, with a consistent release. It’s sure to impress. One of the main features of the Howa 1500 Varmint Barreled Action is its 100% factory-made Howa barrels (Japan), produced using a cold-hammer-forging process. This allows for more precise dimensions and a smoother surface, increasing the rifle’s accuracy. Not all manufacturers can do this. It gives the Howa 1500 Varmint barrel an extra edge in accuracy and durability. Do you have a Howa 1500 rifle with a worn-out barrel because you’ve fired a lot of rounds? There’s no need to replace the whole rifle. With a Barreled Action, you can replace the essential parts to extend the life of your setup even further, while keeping your stock and accessories. It’s also a great way to build your Howa 1500 modularly. The Howa 1500 Varmint Barreled Action offers unmatched freedom to adapt your equipment to the needs of every hunter and shooter.
