Este guardamanos viene de serie en el M4-22 PRO.

El diseño M-LOK permite el montaje de bípodes, empuñaduras, luces o láseres y ópticas.

Los guardamanos flotantes son conocidos por mejorar la precisión. La precisión del guardamanos flotante proviene del hecho de que no toca el cañón, sino que se monta directamente en el armazón superior.

Esto permite que el cañón «flote» y proporciona mejores armónicos, lo que resulta en una precisión ligeramente mejor.

La diferencia de precisión es especialmente evidente cuando se usan empuñaduras o bípodes en el guardamanos.

Cuando apoyas un rifle sobre un bípode que está sujeto al cañón (o a un guardamanos no flotante), el bípode creará una fuerza que puede deformar ligeramente el cañón.

Esta pequeña cantidad de deformación puede causar problemas de precisión bastante significativos a distancia.

Pero con un guardamanos flotante, puedes aplicar todo tipo de fuerza sobre él y no afectará al cañón en absoluto.

This handguard comes stock on the M4-22 PRO. The M-LOK design allows mounting of bipods, grips, lights, or lasers and optics. Free float handguards are known to improve accuracy. The accuracy of the free floating handguard comes from the fact that the handguard doesn’t touch the barrel – it is mounted directly to the upper receiver. This allows the barrel to “float” and gives better harmonics, resulting in slightly better accuracy.

The accuracy difference is especially evident when using grips or bipods on the handguard. When you rest a rifle on a bipod that is attached to the barrel (or a drop-in handguard) the bipod will create force that can slightly warp the barrel. This small amount of warping can provide fairly significant accuracy issues down the range. But with a free float handguard, you can put all kinds of force on the handguard and it won’t affect the barrel whatsoever.
