Description
The NEW NIDEC DUTYGUARD vest
offers the wearer level 3A ballistic protection
(NIJ 0.101.06)
and
level SK1 according to the German Standard.
It also offers
protection against knives and spikes.
We offer 2 levels of protection against edged weapons:
KR1+SP1 and KR2+SP2
according to the English
HOSDB standard.
The English standard is very similar to the American
NIJ 0115.00 standard, which is equivalent to LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2.
The DUTYGUARD vest protects you from both bullets, according to
NIJ IIIA and German SK1 levels,
and edged weapons, according to the resistance level you choose: level 1 or level 2.
The levels of protection
against edged weapons, KR1+SP1 and KR2+SP2,
refer to knives (KR) and spikes (SP), and take into account the type of knife (cutting edge) and the impact energy in joules;

* The correct interpretation of this table for level KR1+SP1 shows protection up to 36 joules, with a maximum permissible penetration of 20 mm. At 24 joules, the maximum permissible penetration is 7 mm.
For SP1, the spike, there must be no penetration at 24 joules, which is why we list 0 mm. The HOSDB standard does not allow penetration by the spike and does not test above 24 joules.

DUTYGUARD vests offer the wearer
a very comprehensive protective area and incredible lightness, considering the dual protection.
In addition, their perfect ergonomics make them comfortable to wear concealed or discreetly all day. (See technical specifications)
The DUTYGUARD has a front panel designed to leave no vital areas unprotected, covering the lower neck, chest and abdomen. The rear panel does the same, covering the entire back down to the kidneys.
The DUTYGUARD design lets you fasten the vest with at least
3 cm of overlap between the front and rear panels,
providing
360º
protection, or “full wrap,” as it’s known in the industry.
In addition to shoulder adjustments with elastic straps finished with high-performance Velcro, the DUTYGUARD vest
has 2 large flaps in the abdominal area for quick removal
without the risk of leaving the vest incorrectly positioned, as can happen with vests that have narrow, individual straps.
With DUTYGUARD vests, you can wear them with
the front panel overlapping the rear panel or vice versa.
