The Pure range remains one of Hagan’s benchmarks in the ski touring market thanks to its reliability and performance. The Pure 87 skis from the 19/20 season are a great choice for anyone who loves the snow and spends full days in the mountains and among the trees. That said, they’re the classic range’s widest-waisted model and are more geared toward downhill skiing. Like the current design, the 2019–20 model combines classic ski touring concepts with more innovative features. It’s a Semi Sidewall model, meaning it has plastic reinforcements along the sides of the central section for added stability. It’s also very lightweight, thanks to its Paulownia wood core. The 300 mm tip rocker provides the lift needed for smoother, more efficient turns. These skis don’t have an especially large turn radius, although it varies, along with the sidecut, depending on the length the skier chooses. The main differences from the current design are its more vivid shade of green and slightly lower weight, at 1,280 grams per ski.
