RUGER Precision Magpul MOE-K2-XL bolt-action rifle – 300 PRC

Ruger introduces the latest edition of the Ruger Precision Rifle. The Ruger Precision Rifle, often known as the “RPR,” has been a mainstay of the precision rifle shooting community since its launch in 2015. This new and improved design is the result of years of feedback from competitive shooters and another example of Ruger’s commitment to product innovation.

In this new configuration, the RPR will be offered in three popular competition calibers: 6 mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .308 Winchester; as well as three magnum calibers: .300 Win Mag, .300 PRC, and .338 Lapua Mag.

Doug Koenig, captain of Team Ruger and winner of the Production Division at the 2024 Hornady Precision Rifle Challenge, worked closely with Ruger engineers to make significant, competition-ready improvements to the Ruger Precision Rifle. “We focused on combining the RPR’s reliability and accuracy with greater adjustability to suit every shooter,” said Koenig. “Knowing I can adjust my rifle to my exact needs lets me approach every competition with confidence. This rifle is designed to support top-level competitive shooters.”

The new stock allows for easy, intuitive, and secure adjustment to suit any shooter and style. The stock is adjustable for length of pull, cheekpiece height and horizontal position, and buttpad height. For those who already own a Ruger Precision Rifle, the new stock is available separately.

Features of the new Ruger Precision Rifle include a heavy-contour, cold hammer-forged barrel; an improved muzzle brake; a Magpul MOE-K2 vertical pistol grip; and a bolt with a black DLC coating. The aluminum handguard has M-LOK slots for compatible accessories and also features a machined ARCA rail on the underside. The magazine well, handguard, and stock body feature an attractive Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish.

The heavy-contour barrel (.85″ at the muzzle) features a “Ruger Precision Rifle” hybrid muzzle brake that effectively reduces recoil while minimizing noise (5/8″-24 thread pitch).

The patented multi-magazine interface is interchangeable with AICS and M110/SR-25/DPMS/Magpul-style magazines (works with some M14 magazines).

The Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger can be adjusted externally, with a pull-weight range of 1 to 2.27 kg; the adjustment wrench is stored in the bolt shroud.

The in-line recoil path manages recoil directly from the rear of the receiver to the stock, rather than through a traditional support system, providing maximum accuracy potential.

The stock allows for easy, intuitive, and secure adjustment to suit any shooter or style, and is adjustable for length of pull, cheekpiece height and horizontal position, as well as buttpad height.

Cold hammer-forged chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R rifling.

The 38 cm-long free-floating handguard is made of hard-coat anodized aluminum and features Magpul M-LOK® slots on all four sides to provide better clearance for tactical scopes and make it easy to mount rails and M-LOK®-compatible accessories.

Ambidextrous manual safety.

20 MOA Picatinny rail secured with 8-40 screws for greater scope adjustment range.

The “upper” receiver and one-piece bolt are precision CNC-machined from pre-hardened 4140 chrome-moly steel to minimize distortion.

The three-lug bolt with a 70° throw features two cocking cams and a full-diameter bolt body for smooth operation. The bolt body is nitrided for corrosion resistance, smooth operation, and durability.

The barrel can be repla
easily fitted by a competent gunsmith using headspace gauges.

The Magpul MOE-K2-XL grip provides a more vertical grip angle in a full-size design and is compatible with optional storage cores for storing accessories.

The front of the magazine is contoured for easy, secure handling when using different shooting rests.

Oversized bolt handle for secure bolt operation, with a 5/16″-24 thread pattern for easy replacement. The bolt disassembly tool is stored in the “Ruger Precision Rifle Billet” aluminum bolt shroud for easy cleaning of the firing pin channel.

Includes two 5-round Ruger AICS magazines.
