The Mauser 66 is a popular hunting rifle, produced from 1965 to 1995. Characteristic of the rifle, often referred to as a "sniper rifle," is its innovative telescopic bolt, which extends to about twice its length when opened. When closed, this design is 9 cm shorter than a classic K98 system with the same barrel length.
