The Nagant M1895 was originally developed for the Russian Empire and later produced in large quantities in the Soviet Union. The model was used for decades by military and police units and is one of the characteristic service revolvers of the 20th century.
A technical special feature is the so-called gas seal system. When cocking, the seven-shot cylinder is pushed forward against the barrel. In combination with the specially developed Nagant cartridge, this reduces gas loss between the cylinder and barrel.
The revolver is from the production year 1933 and has a valid German proof with the proof mark KG.
The firearm is in condition 2 and shows normal, age- and use-related signs of wear. These may include light scratches on the bluing as well as signs of use on the grip panels.
The condition description is a general assessment. Not every typical sign of wear assigned to this condition grade must be present on the offered firearm.
