The ideal hunting companion comes from Suhl. With the combination gun B3 Black, Merkel combines a purist look with Suhl genes in the form of the Jäger break-action bolt. A noble black anodised receiver, high-quality stock wood, and gilded functional elements give the B-class a thoroughly special appearance.

For the system, the Suhl gun manufacturer relies on proven technology in a new design. The barrel locks with a removable break-action bolt – a brilliant locking principle for break-action firearms developed by Suhl gunsmith master Franz Jäger. The function of the break-action bolt: it locks steel on steel in the barrel, operates without torque, and is therefore highly durable.

The rifle is remarkably short (around 102 cm with a 60 cm barrel), lightweight (approx. 3.1 kg), and accordingly easy to handle. The lower barrel is mechanically adjustable both horizontally and vertically and free-floating. This ensures excellent warm shot behaviour.

The stock shape is taken from the classic rifles of the B-class. Equipped with the curved Bavarian cheek and pistol grip, this double-barrel rifle is made from wood class 4 upwards.

System
The proven Merkel combination gun as a safe double-action hammer – uncocked until just before the shot. The removable Jäger break-action bolt is torque-free and thus highly durable.

Trigger
The double trigger with set trigger is elegantly gold titanium nitrided.

Barrel
The 60 cm long barrel comes standard with a stalking sight. The lower rifled barrel is adjustable both horizontally and vertically.

Stock
The elegant wooden stock features the proven pistol grip, Bavarian cheek, and rubber butt pad. Merkel uses the best walnut woods of a class, here wood classes from level 4 upwards.

Mounting
On the black receiver, there is preparation for a Suhl flip-up mount.
