Smith&Wesson 686-5 Target Champion Merkle Tuning

Used firearm

Smith & Wesson Model 686-5 Target Champion – Cal. .357 Magnum

The coveted classic of the transition era in pristine “Pre-Lock” design.
The Smith & Wesson Model 686 in the popular L-frame is one of the most successful sport revolvers worldwide.

The 686-5 modification holds a very special status among connoisseurs and sport shooters: It is the last generation without the internal safety lock (no hole in the frame). It combines the classic, undisturbed aesthetics of the old school with modern, extremely reliable manufacturing features like the frame-mounted firing pin.
In the Target Champion version, this revolver is uncompromisingly tuned for precision. Equipped with a match barrel (6 inch), adjustable sights, and the legendary crisp S&W trigger, it is the perfect choice for static disciplines.

An absolute top model for shooters seeking maximum performance, and at the same time a sought-after collector’s item on the used market.

This model was overhauled by Merkle Tuning in Backnang and purchased there by the previous owner in 2001. The trigger was tuned and comes pre-cocked at 1310g.

Furthermore, the revolver is equipped with a Picatinny rail, a red dot sight, and Karl Nill grips.
