Schmeisser AR15 .22 LR Rimfire, Hunter

Available from stock.

The Schmeisser AR15 .22 "Hunter" is an AR15 for training and hunting in the caliber .22 long rifle. Manufactured with the usual Schmeisser quality, this variant is available with a 16" barrel length, but the version with the M-LOK handguard is not sportingly approved. It is basically the Schmeisser rimfire interchangeable system on a classic Mil-Spec lower receiver, so the firearm is equipped with the common one-sided controls and can accommodate most third-party accessories. The magazines used are Schmeisser's own productions but conform to the Black Dog or DPMS standard, as used by the Nordic Systems WS and the CMMG insert system. This allows the shooter to access a wide selection of reliable magazines and matching loading aids.

The system itself features a mass bolt that runs completely inside the upper receiver – meaning the AR can also be equipped with a folding stock and without a buffer tube!

Schmeisser recommends properly OILING "the rimfire" before use to largely avoid possible feeding issues that can occur with rimfire ammunition. This has proven especially effective in practical tests.
