MCR Montour Meplat Uniforming Tool

This tool allows you to remove irregularities located on the tip of bullets. This results in tighter, more consistent groupings at both short and long distances. This operation ensures the highest uniformity of the ballistic coefficient (BC) of any bullet. The process is done by removing imperfections on the bullet tip and smoothing the cavity. Smoothing the meplat means increasing the bullet's BC by about 2%, which equals less than 1/4 MOA. The MCR meplat is made from solid 303 stainless steel with maximum precision. The bullet is held in place by a cone specific to the desired caliber, which has been polished to avoid damaging the bullet during processing. The special feature of this meplat is the cutter for the internal cavity, which allows removal of all internal imperfections.
