After years of success, the legendary MIDLAND G7—the two-way radio loved by outdoor enthusiasts everywhere, combining simplicity and efficiency—has been renewed and relaunched as the G7 PRO. The new, modern design is the first thing you’ll notice, along with the larger display, which significantly improves visibility. The new case can also accommodate different types of batteries, making the G7 PRO the first radio to offer four power options: in addition to the NiMH battery pack and the alkaline or rechargeable batteries already available in the past, you can now use the new optional 1200 mAh lithium battery pack, which makes the radio 20% lighter. The radio’s core has also been completely redesigned, further expanding the G7 PRO’s features, versatility, and performance. First, the dual PTT lets you select high or low output power to optimize battery life. The “Side Tone” function eliminates the annoying hiss at the end of each transmission (when used with other radios that have the same function). Finally, audio quality has also been improved to ensure even clearer, crisper communications. The new casing has a cover for quicker technical checks.
