The FLEX-M2 brings exactly what matters in a connected trail camera to the field: fast trigger speed, automatic network selection, and an app that keeps photos, videos, and settings accessible. This way, you monitor game trails, baiting sites, or damage areas without disturbing the population for every memory card.
The honest short version: For its price, it offers a lot of remote monitoring. However, it needs decent cellular reception, a properly formatted microSD card, and a power supply suited to the trigger frequency.

Our assessment

The FLEX-M2 is not a classic offline trail camera with later card reading but a tool for ongoing field observation. Dual-SIM automatically selects the strongest available network, and the SPYPOINT app handles activation, remote management, and retrieval. This saves trips and helps keep locations quieter.
The model is especially strong for multiple distributed camera points: The free basic plan currently transfers up to 100 photos per month and camera according to the manufacturer. Those who want more data or more frequent video retrieval should factor ongoing plan costs into their purchase decision from the start.

Buy if … you want to monitor a field remotely, reduce inspection trips, and see photo and video events promptly in the app.

27 meters detection and flash Manufacturer and dealer specify up to 27 meters for detection and low-glow infrared flash each. Vegetation, temperature contrast, weather, and orientation affect the practical range.


Remote management instead of constant visits Activation, settings, schedule, and firmware updates can be managed via the app. This reduces unnecessary trips and avoids scent and movement at the camera location.


Flexible power supply Operation is with eight AA batteries or the optional LIT-22 battery. SPYPOINT states up to six months with AA and up to twelve months with LIT-22; actual runtime depends heavily on network, cold, triggers, and transmission.

Practical tip for a clean setup

First test the exact mounting point. Do not activate the camera “somehow” on the vehicle, but check network, field of view, and test shot where it will later operate. Format the memory card via the designated button, go through the trigger once yourself, and remove grasses or twigs that can cause false triggers in the wind.
Do not mount directly facing the expected game path. A slightly sideways orientation extends the time in the detection field and increases the chance of a usable image. In heavily frequented areas, lithium battery or external solar solution is usually the more plannable power source.

Limits and important notes



Low-Glow is not invisible: The IR illumination can be perceived as a faint red glow when viewed directly. For especially covert surveillance, a No-Glow camera is more suitable.

Functions require connection: Without sufficient mobile network, the camera continues to work locally, but remote access loses its crucial advantage.

Runtimes are guidelines: Weak network, cold, many videos, and frequent transmission shorten battery life.

Observe data protection and hunting law: Use camera and audio only on areas where you have permission. Public paths, neighbouring properties, and third parties must not be recorded without consideration.

FAQ
Does the FLEX-M2 need a mobile tariff? For transmission, you use a SPYPOINT photo tariff. According to the current manufacturer status, up to 100 transmitted photos per month and camera are available in the free basic tariff; more volume is chargeable.
Does it work without mobile reception? Recordings can be stored locally on a microSD. Remote transmission, status query, and app management are not reliably usable without a usable connection.
Is the night illumination invisible? No. The FLEX-M2 works with Low-Glow IR. This is subtle but can be faintly red visible when looked at directly. For maximum inconspicuousness, No-Glow technology is more suitable.
Which memory card is right? Use a microSD Class 10/U1 up to 32 GB and format it in the camera before first use. A card is not included in the delivery.
What power supply is sensible? Good AA batteries are enough for occasional triggers. For many recordings, video, and frequent sending, the LIT-22 battery or a compatible solar solution is usually more economical and plannable.
Can I retrieve Full-HD files from the app? Yes. According to the manufacturer, the camera transmits preview data and allows requesting Full-HD photo and video files via the SPYPOINT app. Data volume and tariff conditions remain relevant.
