With the Calonox thermal imaging cameras, Leica offers new and extraordinary ways to make use of digital images and further enhances its reputation for excellence as a camera manufacturer. Leica’s exclusive image processing system (Leica Image Optimization – LIO™) enhances images using special algorithms, resulting in particularly rich color gradations, excellent contrast and high detail resolution. The exceptional detection range of the Leica Calonox Sight and Calonox Sight SE is based on a top-of-the-line vanadium oxide (VOx) sensor with 384 x 288 pixels and a pixel size of 17 µm, delivering excellent thermal resolution.
Impressive detail recognition with extended range
Recognize with confidence, shoot with confidence: With a defined target size of 1.7 x 0.5 m, the Leica Calonox Sight SE can detect targets at distances of up to 2,000 meters, recognize targets up to 700 m away and identify them precisely up to 350 m.
Extremely wide field of view. Ideal for close-range observation, the 42 mm lens offers a wide field of view and an optimal overview at a distance. With 1x magnification, both the Leica Calonox Sight and Calonox Sight SE are primarily optimized for use in combination with a rifle scope.
To make full use of the Leica Calonox Sight SE as an accessory, adapter rings are required, depending on the rifle scope. In clip-on mode, you can adjust the screen area for use with the scope. To ensure correct zeroing, reticle correction helps align the screen precisely with the reticle in the scope.

Its cylindrical shape and easy operation integrate perfectly into a hunter’s equipment. The intuitive, easy-to-use three-button menu offers simplified navigation, making operation quick and easy even when wearing gloves.
The powerful OLED display with 1024 x 768 pixels enables comfortable observation and reliable identification when tracking or shooting from a hide. The permanently installed rechargeable battery, with a runtime of around 11 hours, is particularly well protected against cold and moisture. Charging while in use is also possible, for example with a power bank.
The Calonox Sight has a menu function (Handheld mode) that doubles the screen size and increases the optical magnification from 1x to 2x for more comfortable viewing when observing animals rather than aiming. In this configuration, it offers the same comfortable viewing experience as a dedicated observation device. The Calonox Sight SE does not have this function; it can certainly be used for observation, but with a smaller screen—the same one both devices use in aiming mode. This is also the case with high-quality products from competitors. The Calonox Sight has Bluetooth functionality to connect to the Calonox Sight app on a smartphone and, if needed, remotely zero the scope. The Calonox Sight SE does not offer this option.
