General description for all Haenel Jaeger 10 models:
The company Haenel can look back on a long tradition in the manufacture of high-quality hunting firearms and impresses with the latest design and manufacturing principles. The Haenel Jaeger 10 stands out for its excellent price/performance ratio and is 100% 'Made in Germany'. The Jaeger 10 is offered in various model variants, from the higher-quality Timber version in wood grade 4, two variants with camouflage finish, three Varmint versions, as well as a short Tracker and a precision rifle. The stock of this agile bolt-action rifle has a straight comb, with a long German cheekpiece depending on the version. The synthetic stocks are made from the latest high-tech plastic. All metal parts are matte blued. Female hunters can use a special ladies’ stock. This features a shortened length of pull, a steeper pistol grip, and a recoil-absorbing buttpad to reduce recoil. These features enable a female-typical hold. The bolt has six large lugs on the bolt head and runs perfectly in the receiver with excellent surface and sliding properties. The opening angle of only 60 degrees allows both fast cycling and a very low scope mount. The trigger is a dry direct trigger with safety catch. Opening the chamber automatically disengages the safety catch. The removable detachable magazine consists of a steel sheet body and holds standard 3 + 1 cartridges. The rifle is standard equipped with a hunting sight with illuminated front sight. The safety is located on the right side next to the bolt and has a separate chamber lock which allows unloading while secured. The Jaeger 10 allows mounting a Remington 700 scope base. All Remington 700 mounts can be attached to this base. Some Jaeger 10 models (e.g. Jaeger 10 Varmint) come standard with a Picatinny rail, which can be factory-installed on all other Jaeger 10 models for an additional charge. This allows all common scopes to be mounted without problems.
