MEET THE NEW WAR Exacting construction and rigorous durability are the standard for every weapon system that comes off our line. BCM® Professional Grade Weaponry® are hard use tools, built to perform in combat where unfailing performance is the only standard for men and machine. Upper receivers with baked in carry-handles and iron sights have been relegated to history. Optics are now synonymous with forward deployed combat carbines, featuring modular "optics ready" flat top upper receivers. Driven by a sense of urgency to improve lethality and save American lives in real-time, this flat top innovation has inadvertently introduced a degradation in the rigidity of the upper receiver, with the weakest point being the area around the ejection port. Redesigned by lessons learned in combat since 9/11, the BCM MK2 Upper Receiver is built with up to 30% more rigidity than the current Mil-Spec M4 upper receiver without sacrificing interoperability for a mere additional 1/3 ounce of weight. The MK2 Upper Receiver also retains all USGI components in assembly and works with all USGI bolt carriers, charging handles and barrel assemblies.Fine tuning the positioning of the forward assist creates additional clearance for right hand sided charging handle manipulation and clearance for end plate mounted slings. Positive effect on target In addition to weapon optics, suppressors have also become standard in modern combat operations. Added gas expansion areas and new channels added around the charging handle opening, vent gas away from the end user's face, reducing distractions when employing the weapon system with a can. Forged from 7075-T6, the BCM MK2 Upper Receivers retain a form following grain structure which maximizes achievable strength. All of these improvements come without affecting the manual of arms employed in manipulating a Mil-Spec upper receiver. PROFESSIONAL GRADE - LIFE SAVING TOOLS Manufactured by Bravo Company MFG, Inc. (BCM) by professional gunsmiths These Complete Upper Receiver are designed for shooting professionals and responsible civilians with the Mil-Spec features for the demands of their duty. They are fully assembled, headspaced, and test fired. SPECIFICATIONS BCM® MK2 UPPER RECEIVER This proprietary design offers enhanced rigidity over the USGI product. The increased rigidity limits barrel deflection which aids in consistency/accuracy. Less flex also reduces premature damage, wear, and failure of bolt lugs from misalignment. A gas expansion chamber is machined above the charging handle track, combined with dual vents machined at the rear (each side, above charging handle latch) help to redirect and vent gas away the shooters face. All of the BCM flat top uppers feature a USGI type laser etched T-marks to provide addressing for the remounting of tactical accessories such as optics, laser sights, etc. This enables the weapon platform to be easily configured and then accurately reconfigured for each specific mission. It is now a worldwide standard in the industry for a battle rifle. The chrome bore and the chamber is harder than the barrel steel and will aid in chambering, extraction, and reliability. It increases velocity and also resists fouling and corrosion from extended use in the field. This gives the end user a longer barrel life with less required time for maintenance and cleaning. Mil-Spec Barrel Steel (Certified Mil-B-11595E) BCM barrel steel is Mil-Spec per MIL-B-11595E, and is independently certified. This grade (CMV) of steel is a Mil-Spec steel used in the USGI M16 family of rifles; it is stronger and will last longer than the typical barrels offered in the commercial market. This Mil-Spec grade steel gets its' additional strength and rigidity from an increase in carbon and/or vanadium in the alloy. This will offer increased barrel life and performance through use in all types of extreme environments and temperatures. Manganese Phosphate Barrel Finish Barrels are parkerized with the manganese phosphate finish per Mil-Spec. Military specifications also state that the entire barrel surface is phosphate finished to create a porous surface to absorb oil to resist corrosion from the elements. BCM barrels are phosphated before the installation of front sights. This is a much more extensive assembly operation but insures that the entire barrel is finished and protected . . .even under the front sight base. USGI 1/7 Twist Rate The USGI 1/7 twist rate of all of the BCM barrels is the preferred twist rate by most professional infantrymen. This twist rate has proven very versatile and can effectively run the new heavier 5.56 ammo that is hugely popular with military, private security personnel, and personal defense for its' superior ballistics. As a note: BCM barrel components are parkerized separately before assembly. Prior to shipping, all BCM upper receiver groups are test fired for function, laser bore sighted with a Milspec carry handle for sight alignment within Mil-Specs, and then batch samples are test fired for accuracy. As such, the upper receiver group will show handling marks consistent with these quality control procedures. BCM® GUNFIGHTER MCMR M-LOK Handguard Kit 8" Featuring the same industry leading barrel nut and lock up design as originally introduced on BCM's evolutionary KMR handguard, the MCMR Series of handguards gives the shooter modularity in the M-LOK platform. This proprietary patented mounting system (US Patent 8904691), includes a mechanical index to the 12:00 rail and positions mounting hardware to mitigate the movement caused by heat generated by the weapon system.
